Emil Georgis is a songwriter by instinct, an artist by honest emotion, and a singer by nature. He writes not to impress or imitate, but to digest, reflect, and feel.
“With my songs, I often take what feels bad and make it 'my’ bad stuff. Suddenly, it’s not bad anymore.”
Born in Ethiopia and raised bilingually in Nepal, Emil grew up with a naturally diverse perspective on life. Before he could even speak, he was already imitating melodies he heard - whether it was “Kyrie Eleison” or tunes he invented himself. At just four years old, he gave his first public performance, singing “Baby Can I Hold You” by Tracy Chapman. From then on, his urge to entertain never stopped.
At 14, a dream came true: standing on the big stage of The Voice Kids Germany, performing in front of millions. Emil advanced through every round with his bilingual singing abilities, reaching the Final Show and performing alongside his coach Lena Meyer-Landrut. Through his journey on the show, Emil discovered his voice all over again and established himself among the promising young talents in German-speaking Europe.
Soon after, Emil continued to shine under the spotlight. Performing at the Leipziger Opernball alongside acts such as Alice Merton, and taking on a lead role in the popular TV series Der Bergdoktor, acting opposite Hans Sigl.
Emil Georgis introduced himself to the world with his debut EP LAVENDER - a four-song arc tracing the quiet devastation of unrequited love, from infatuation to acceptance, from delusion to falling all over again.
His debut single "engraved in my mind" quickly became a fan favourite, setting the tone for what LAVENDER would come to mean to its listeners.
After a very successful Release Concert at U4 Vienna, Emil is stepping into his next chapter - leaning deeper into acoustic folk and the kind of storytelling that only slows down to speak louder.
